Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy aspen tree is oozing a lot of dark brown liquid out of what appears to be bored holes. I don’t know if it is sap or not. It looks very unhealthy and in wondering if I have to cut it down. I don’t really want to but if it is a disease I will so it doesn’t spread to my other trees. I’m uploading a photo so you can see it and hopefully have some advice for me.

You forgot to upload the photo but let me give this my best shot. This could be a poplar borer infestation. I would review the following article and if you agree, follow one of the recommended control options:
