About Daffodils & Narcissus

Hello,

First off, I want to tell you how much you have taught me and I want to thank you.
My problem, I’ve had for years and would like to know what I’m doing wrong.
I have ‘ clumps ‘ of bulbs, narcissus & various daffodils growing around my yard. I have separated some of them out to singles because they weren’t blooming but that didn’t even help. They still don’t bloom. All I have are these clumps of green. Unfortunately the snails love them so that’s a never ending battle. I see ‘ clumps ‘ of them growing along the freeways with even less sun then mine are in, so what am I doing wrong?? Your input would sure be a big help.

P.S. I also leave the tops to dry but braid them or rubber band them together so they don’t lay all over the place.

There are several possible causes for narcissus/daffodils to fail to bloom. Braiding the tops while they’re still green may impair food storage and next year’s flowers. These articles will help you find the culprit:
