Our apartment has a very small garden area (2m x 5m) which we would like to plant up this year to provide colour. Can you suggest some varieties please?

You need to determine the amount of sunlight that your little garden space receives.
Full sun is considered 6 or more hours of sunlight.
Partial sun is 3 to 6 hours, and less then 3 is partial sun to shade.

You will want to make the correct selections for success.

Also you will want to know the growing zone.

Perennials are plants that will return each year and annuals generally have one growing season.
Shrubs whether evergreen or flowering can add a good backdrop or mix well with both perennials and annuals.

Do some drive by's and check out some of your neighbors plantings.
Visit your local garden centers and see what plants catch your eye!

Research any specific plants right here on Gardening Know How, and please ask if you have more questions for this garden project.
