I just planted a rose bush in a pot, how often should I water the plant?

What type of rose bush is it? Is it still small? Don't let the top of the soil get too dry but don't over water either (it can get root rot.) Make sure it has plenty of drainage. Also, depending on your area helps determine that.

Are you keeping it in the pot or will you be transplanting? Most of them get very bigger so I was just seeing if you had them in one of those giant containers (unless it's still small).
