a certain type of azalea

I purchased a small, pink azalea before Valentine’s Day. It was in a houseplant type container with pink foil paper. The table had a general sign: Valentine Azalea. Since I haven’t been able to find any INFO, I was wondering if here is a species called Valentine Azalea! If not, could I keep it as a houseplant? Should I trim it? Also, could it be planted outside later? I/m in ao0ne 8-B. ‘Guess I’ll never know the botanical name, which I hate.

No, your plant was most likely just labeled for the holiday.

Indoor Azaleas are a nice addition to add color to your home.
They can bloom for up to 4 to 6 weeks in the right environment.

Here is an article with care information.
