zucchini yellow leaves

I’ve planted some zucchini in my garden and when the leaves touch the ground, they turn yellow. What can I do to stop this from happening?

Try placing sections of newspaper over the soil immediately around the plant. It will act as a mulch to both conserve water and keep weeds down. Plus, it will keep the leaves off the soil.
