Q.Potted Braided Hibiscus

Zone E TX | Eamarcotte added on April 27, 2013 | Answered

My new 3ft high potted braided hibiscus has new growth on the braided trunk/stem. Should I cut them off? She is growing beautifully seems very healthy and don’t want to cause problems.

If you would like it to remain a clean brain, then yes, you should prune off the growth on the braid. Make sure you use a clean, sharp pair of pruners to prune the growth off so as to keep disease away.
