After taking a cutting of a yucca, we have planted it in the garden with new soil. How often should we water?

It should only need watering just enough to keep the soil moist while establishing roots. Once the Yucca has been planted in the ground for at least a year, you will not need (once or twice a month) to water it but maybe once or twice during the summer, allowing the water to thoroughly soak into the ground with a soaker hose for a few hours.
