70 year old magnolia appears to be dying

This beautiful huge magnolia tree had roots running across a large part of my backyard.
In January, it became necessary to replace the sewerage system from the house to the city connection at the back of the property. MANY of the roots coming into the yard were damaged and some had to be removed. Recently, I noticed that my large tree did not have a lot of green leaves on it and had not bloomed. Is it possible that the tree is in shock
(hopefully) and not dying? Any recommendations for treatment would be greatly appreciated.

With this damage and the symptoms, your trees health has been effected.
I would recommend calling in a certified Arborist to assess the tree and what can be done to save it.
Acting sooner then later is in your trees benefit.
