Q.56 Year Old Calamondin Orange Tree In Pot Inside Oozing Amber Sap At Base Of Trunk. Need Help!
Tree looks healthy but there is some missing bark at the base of the trunk. I don’t want to lose it! It’s sibling tree appears to be ok. Please advise! Any information? Thank you.

Does the tree summer outside where it can be attacked by pests? If so, borers can be a problem. Cankers can produce amber sap as well as bacterial and fungal diseases. These articles should help pinpoint the problem:
