3-4 Foot Spires From Tabletop Sago

One of my sago palms grew extremely long fronds that did not turn into any thing but long fronds with little ball like things along the sides of the frond. There were about 8 of the long fronds. What is that all about? They are inside plants with great light

Those odd growths are the new fronds reacting to low light. Locate it where it gets a few hours of full sun or brighter light than it is getting.
