Mosaic Virus can cause this issue, but generally you will see the leaves discolored.
Also nutritional issues can cause this. Over fertilizing can be an issue.
Use Epsom Salt to help the plant along.
Neem Oil is also good to treat if you suspect any insects or fungus issue. (if you find any changes in leafs or leaf damage)
