Q.How Old Do Wisteria Need to Be to Bloom?

marge added on February 26, 2011 | Answered

I planted a Wisteria about 3 years ago and keep it pruned. It is a very healthy vine but has yet to bloom. How long does it take to have blooms? I live in central Indiana.

They do need 2-3 years to be established enough ti bloom, so I would give it another year. That being said, this article will help you determine if there are other issues causing blooming problems: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/wisteria-blooming-problems.htm
