Q.2 Of My Peonies Plants Snapped Near The Root. Can I ‘re-root’ Them And Put Back Into The Ground. I LOVE This Plants So Much And

I was JUST outside checking on all my plant friends and noticed that one of my peony plants snapped, so I now have 2 very long stalks (both with lovely buds on them) and I would like to know if/how to save them; both have small roots showing and they look healthy. I’ve put them in a water bottle w/ Osmicote at the bottom and placed the bottle out of the sun. That’s probably not the correct thing to do. I would so appreciate your help. I have 3 peonies from White Flower Farms sent to me after the sudden death of my best friend. Peonies were our favorite flowers. These matter so much to me, as you can imagine. Thank you so much in advance.

Apparently, broken stems won't grow a new plant, according to the article below. The only way to propagate peonies is by division. Here is more:
