Q.18 yr old desert rose
We have a very old desert rose that has been pruned back. There are still leaves and the occasional flower. It is potted and we live in fl.
Would it be better to plant in the ground or leave it in the large pot? Trunks are 5 to 6 inches around.

It will be best to continue on in container. Planting in ground usually requires the conditions to mimic dry succulent landscapes. This may not be possible outdoors in your area. I would stick to container, and make sure it isn't too large. An inch larger on all sides will be plenty of space for the new container.
