17 year old vining hydrangea has leaves with only veins left.

Expert gardener said to use Bonide systemic insect control now and an oil on bark when leaves have fallen. This hydrangea is 17 years old, 6-7 ft high and 12 ft long used as privacy fence. Would break my heart to lose it but would break my heart to kill or hurt all the birds that play in it. Any suggestions on something organic I can use to save the plant and the birds???? I can upload photos tomorrow. PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Use Neem Oil on your plant. Neem Oil is organic and safe for people, pets and bees.
