I have been trying to find seeds for vegetable marrow. I can only fine spaghetti marrow and that is all stringy when you cook it where as the vegetable one can be cut into nice little chunks or stuffed, much nicer and taster .
Do a search for Marrow Squash seeds. There are many sources available for mail order.
You can also check Ebay and Etsy for seeds.
something is eating the center from the squash blossoms. I have baited seven powder.
There can be several pests or even birds that dine on your Squash Blossoms.
It's also possible that the male blossoms are dropping off on their own, once they are no longer needed for pollination.
Placing netting around plants can be a determent for critters or birds.
Neem Oil can be used for best.

My squash was transplanted a month and a half ago & I only had 3 fruit on 5 plants. there are lots of blossoms but very few female blossoms. What can I do to get more female blossoms?
Yes, I know male blossoms show first so don't tell me that. These plants have been in the ground for a month and a half. The squash did well in the same area last year so I don't think it is anything to do with the soil. Can PH change that much in a year? I am using homemade compost. The tomatoes, swiss chard, and garlic are doing well. The squash has plenty of male blossoms and leaves but almost no female blossoms. What can cause this? I need some real troubleshooting help here not just a quick trite throwaway answer.
This is a continuing problem. Do I need soil additives to combat this?
This can be a very frustrating issue; don't give up and it happens to even experienced gardeners!
This article will help you.
Hi I just need help identifying three squashes a neighbor gave me ... she did not know what they are, someone gave them to her. Two look like a sunflower. Very gold/orange, with a raised center like the seed pad on a sunflower, and then 10 short rounded "petals" around it. The other is a small flatish white gourd, about 4.5 in. across, and looks a bit like a flying saucer. Thicker in the middle, and scalloped slightly around the edges. I have no idea what they are, cannot locate them online, so do not even know if these are for decor, or can be baked. Thanks so much, Phyllis
Thank you :)
I can see how that would describe the small white one, from the sites I am bringing up, but cannot find a pic identifying the big yellow....or are they a version of the same variety?
Thanks for the help.
Those look like patty pan squash. Numerous recipes are on the web. Enjoy!
What is the effect of ants inside my squash flowers?
The ants are attracted to young aphids. They will farm them for their nectar. It is likely that your plant has an aphid infection.

:). Thank you in advance! The fruit is light green, oval-shaped, and the size of a large apple right now.
This has a very complicated answer. Unless you know exactly what the seed came from, and what the potential pollinators were nearby, then it will be impossible to know what that is.
Because many cucurbits can cross pollinate (like cucumbers and melons and many gourds, including pumkins) it is likely a "mutt" of different species.
The chances of it being edible are very good. If it is not edible, there will simply be no pulp under the shell to eat.
Let it grow, and see what comes of it. Many gardeners accidentally come up with new types of fruits this way.
