About 4 years ago while in a store, I purchased a bunch of packets of seeds in their own little packs, planting them in my flower bed. A plant grew unlike any I had ever seen. It had velvet-like, big leaves and grew like a tall cactus. After some time it even had a pretty bloom on top. This was the star of my yard, but well since that time I have moved and sold my home. Would love to plant another here at my new home. Please help identify this plant. By the way, the leaves were huge. I lived and still remain in Connecticut. It took no extra effort or care to grow this plant.
Did you happen to take a picture of this plant? This could help us to better identify it.
I just moved into a new house that sits on 2 acres. There are a couple of bushes that I have a question about. I'm pretty sure that one is blueberries but it might be mixed in with weeds. Can I send a picture and see if you can tell me what it is, and if I should clear everything out that is with the blueberry vine but keep the blueberry vine, of course. Thanks for helping out a newbie.
Yes, send in your picture and we will try to help you with this.
I have a transplanted tree and I do not know what kind it is. It has a rounded top with lots of long thin branches. It sorta resembles a mushroom shape. The long branches are all brown and brittle. I need to know what to do for it.
Please send us a picture. We may be better able to identify it if you send a picture.
In a pot with a gifted lilac tree was another unknown tree. It grew so much faster than the lilac, so we separated them. The unknown tree is like 25 feet tall. It is about 10 years old. This year it is covered with pussy willow type growths...gray fuzz over tiny light green balls under the fuzz. Not perfectly shaped balls. Originally someone said it was a laurel tree, but have never seen a picture of one with pussy willow type growths.
Could you send a picture of this tree? We can then be of more help in identifying it for you.
What do the leaves of an impatiens plants look like? I had one planted in a corner last year and an armadillo tore it up. Now there is something spreading all over where it was.
It really depends on the variety but this pic might be helpful: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Starr_080103-1135_Impatiens_walleriana.jpg Also, if armadillos are a problem in your area, this article may help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/animals/armadillo-control.htm
For the last few years I have had two flowering weeds and they are taking over my backyard! My lawn service can't seem to get rid of them. I can send you a picture of them mixed together or I can send you a picture of each type. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
You can send us a picture of the weeds in question and we will be happy to try and identify them for you in order to find the most appropriate control measures to take.
We have a plant that I thought was just ground cover but am not sure. It has leaves similar to a tomato plant but much smaller. It produces a very small white flower and then it looks like a fruit or something is being produced from the flower. I cannot tell what it is producing because they are still young and green. Any help trying to identify would be great. I have a picture of the plant as well. Thank you!
Go ahead and send in the picture. This would help us to better identify the plant.
