Peach tree leaves are turning yellow. What is wrong?
Hi, we have an apricot tree that is doing the same thing. We have discovered tent caterpillars on it. We found clusters of them at the base of the tree under the rocks. Or you can look for a tent in the tree.

Good luck
I have finally decided to plant a peach tree seed that we got up in Grand Junction, Colorado. It has been wrapped in tin foil in a medicine bottle in the refrigerator since 1998. I read your article on the planting. I live in the high desert of Arizona and would like to start it in a pot in the house. Granted the AC is on but it is set about 80. So could you please advise me as to how I need to place the seed in the pot. I know this sounds silly but which way is the best way for it to germinate? I would like to use a small clay pot. Thanks for all your help. Sincerely, Candy Smith
I cannot find any research regarding the viability of a peach seed that has been stored for as long as yours.
Here are links that have more information on how to germinate the pit.
You will either have to plant outdoors or germinate it in the refrigerator.

We have four seedlings now in large pots. The trees (southern variety) are about 6 inches high at this point and have grown nicely in the pots. Can I dig a large hole (late June in northeast) and put them in the ground now? Or wait till late September? Any tips on putting them into the ground? Thx AMR
You should continue to grow the Peach Trees indoors in a pot for the first year, and then you can plant outdoors next spring.

I inherited land with 4 peach trees. The original trees have long since died and suckers have grown up some as large as 3-4 inch diameter. Last year I severely pruned and cleaned out dead wood to try to salvage them. I left a few upright suckers on each to see what might produce. One tree put on a lot of fruit. Another tree seemed to just grow more branches. One barely put on leaves and has maybe 10 peaches. What happened to get such different results? Do you think there is hope to get these to be healthy trees or are they too far gone? One of the trees fruit is covered with little black dots like freckles. What is this and what can I do about it?
If the main trees have died and they are growing from a grafted root stock, it is nearly impossible to tell the type of tree that could be growing from the shoots.

Can you pick wet peaches?
My peach tree is infected but I don't know what it is. Who can I contact or send pics for identification? Picture attached. Tried multiple pesticides without success. Thank you

I bought a peach tree, left it in its container. It started growing fruit. I got 3 of the best peaches I've had. Then we had a lot of rain, and it stayed very wet. It looked like it died, dropped all its leaves. Then it started growing new leaves at the tips of the branches. What do I do?
Peach Trees should be planted out into the ground, unless you have a Dwarf variety.
If you are leaving the tree in a container, you will need a 15 gallon size pot.
The container should have several drainage holes and be lifted so excess water can drain away.
Your tree should be placed where it gets at least 6 hours of sunlight and watering is crucial for a container tree. When the soil dries out water throughly.
Fertilizer should be applied every couple of weeks.
