I have a flower bed where the mint has taken over. I have dug up my flowers and have them in pots to the side. I have dug up a lot of the roots to the mint, and used the vinegar salt mixture to kill the roots I may have missed. Will I have to dig again to make sure I have all the dead roots? And, if so, how long will I have to wait to replant my flowers, or wait till next year?
You can plant after about a week. To make extra sure, water the area before planting to help dissipate any remaining vinegar mixture. For additional help with controlling mint, this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/herbs/mint/invasive-mint-how-to-kill-mint-plants.htm
