Where can I locate Bonnie lettuce plants in Houston, Texas? Do they have to be started from seed or can I find small seedling plants to start growing them?
You can find them at Home Depot, Walmart,HEIGHTS PLANT FARM, and Kroger. They sell the seedlings.
What's the cause of my lettuce and herb leaves turning yellow? I have a small aeroponics veggie and herb garden, recently added cilantro and catnip and within a few days a few leaves have yellow tips. Are herbs and veggies compatible in a small aeroponic garden? There's only 2 lettuce, 2 cilantro, 1 catnip, 2 basil.
There should not be any reason the plants you mention would not be compatible to grow together.
Yellowing leaves are more likely a watering issue, light or disease issue.
Since their are many different aeroponic growing systems I would check your water and nutrition levels.
How do I know when a leaf lettuce is mature enough to eat? This is my 1st time gardening. I decided to do a leaf lettuce combo but I'm not sure how to tell when the leaf is mature enough to cut off and eat. I bought it after it sprouted and planted it in raised bed. It's been about 3 wks or so.
What lettuce did you plant? Green and red lettuce, butter head lettuce, stem lettuce or romaine lettuce? Each is a little bit different on when they are fully ripe.
I will discuss green and red lettuce here. If you like baby lettuce for their more delicate flavor, you can harvest when the outer leaves are only a couple inches tall.
However, if you are interested in more mature lettuce, which is rich-colored, well-ruffled and deeply lobed, then green and red leaf lettuce varieties should be examined 50-60 days after planting or when the outer leaves grow 4-5 inches tall.
If you have other lettuce varieties, you can read the article below to determine their ripening times:

New to gardening this year. My lettuce coming through lovely yesterday but this morning it has disappeared. Could it all have been completely eaten?
Unfortunately there is a long list of possible pests or critters that could be responsible for eating your Lettuce.
Caterpillars, beetles, slugs will dine on your leafy greens but it generally won't disappear in one night.
Rabbits, Squirrels, or Deer could be responsible also for eating a garden and leaving nothing.
Look for any signs of footprints or bite marks.

There are many types of lettuce plants and leafy greens with varying growing patterns.
As the plants grow the number of leaves added to the plant will make a fuller looking plant.

What kind of chemical do I need to protect my lettuce from insects?
It depends what insects you are referring to, but I have always found neem oil to be a good all-around non-toxic solution for combating pests. More information on neem oil can be found here:
