How hard can I prune winter jasmine in May? I have a winter jasmine growing in shade in southwest London. It has become very leggy with only green at very tips of bendy, tangled branches. Should I cut it right back into the woody part?

Last year we bought a climbing jasmine, which is doing well growing up against a trellis. It has a bamboo stake threaded down the main stem and I wondered whether we should remove this or leave it for support?

Can Epsom salt be used on Jasmine?

May 23, 2016A.My research found many reports of success with Epsom Salts fertilizer encouraging good growth and lots of flowers.
A formulation is 3 to 5 grams of Epsom Salt dissolved into 1 Liter of water.

I have had this vine more than 5 years and it has never bloomed. It has bushy leaves and long stems but never a bud. Good sunlight and I fertilize in spring.

32812Q.Cutting Back Jasmine
I have a couple of mature winter jasmine vines that are growing over an old metal gazebo frame that is rusting and falling apart. I plan to build a new gazebo for them to grow on, but first have to remove the old frame, which is where my dilemma lies. The vines are very intertwined with the old frame, so the easiest way to remove it and make room for the new structure would be to cut them way back almost to the trunks. Will they survive this and grow back?

I have a jasmine shrub at new home. Does the shrub form develop a seed from the flower? The italian variety has a black fruit but I dont know about the general shrub variety. It has little white flowers with yellow centers. Very fragrant.

June 7, 2016A.There are approx 300 varieties of Jasmine plants.
In late summer your plant should produce seed pods. You need to watch carefully to make sure you harvest before the pods break open and the seeds are lost. Harvest right before the pods open.
