My parents have four 50-ft holly trees that have been limbed up ten feet but they still have a problem with all the fallen leaves. What are some alternative to raking up the leaves each year?
The inner leaves of my holly bush are turning yellow and dropping off. Is the normal?
If you're sure the plant is getting sufficient water, the next most likely cause is iron defficiency. This article tells you more: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/holly/holly-yellow-leaves.htm
My holly tree has lost all of its leaves.
You can easily determine if your plant is dead by looking for green tissue. If you bend a twig and it snaps apart, and is all brown inside, it is dead. If you scrape the bark away from a larger branch or the trunk, and it is all brown, no green anywhere, it is dead.
If it's not dead, it can still be helped. Whether it's dead or not, you probably want to find out what happened. Take some of the leaves that have fallen off, also some small branches and some soil, and have them analyzed for bugs or disease.
