It's going to remain potted. I know I will probably need a bigger pot. I have figured out how to water it and prune it. What kind is it? What kind of fertilizer should I use? How much and how often should I fertilize it?
You have a tropical hibiscus. Here are care instructions: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/hibiscus-container-care.htm

I don't know what to do about this problem. I also had a hibiscus tree that just up and died in the late part of winter. I had them both in a window where they got sun in the morning. Doing great all winter. Kept them watered. Before the plant I have now dies I hope to understand the problem.
Hibiscus do not winter well in most homes. Although it is a little late to prune, it will benefit from a pruning to help regenerate. They are also very heavy feeders, so repotting it in fresh soil, or adding some compost or other nutrients can help as well. Give it plenty of sun, but some afternoon shade until it recovers.

Hi I have a question about my plant I pruned my hibiscus plant this year I'm wondering if I should cut more of the branche with no leaves to get the new growth to grow.
You can, either, cut it or leave it. Some fertilizer will help it to come out, though. They are very heavy feeders, so feed often in container.

Followed the instruction for Hibiscus tree plant, has buds and flowers but some leaves are turning yellow with green spots, why and what can be done?
Some of that is common no matter what you do. This article should help:
Hi. 'Rather quickly ... I have a new apartment with three wonderful balconies here in Morelia, Mexico. (Think VERY, VERY WARM.) I thought a hibiscus would do well on each (second story) balcony because they're A.) Lovely; B.)They tolerate heat very, very well, and C.) I'd pick the flowers, dry them, and make tea, etc. (And I think they might flower year-round.) So, in Mexico hibiscus are hard to find! I've tried. But I saw the plant in the photo today at a nursery. The one called "Hibiscus--or not." The owner was busy or I would have talked to him. Here, though, I THINK there's another, different, closely related plant called a Tulipan. (See the other photo, which I downloaded online, from ... https://www.trekearth.com/gallery/North_America/Mexico/Gulf/Tabasco/Cunduacan/photo67106.htm) So, can you tell, just by looking at the photo I took today, if that's a hibiscus or not!?!? Or is it simply too difficult working from a photo?!? Sincere thanks for your thoughts on this. I'm stymied. LOL
I believe these are both a Hibiscus! The tulipan has a different center.

It came to me potted, and I've re-potted in bigger pot. I've mostly kept it indoors in my sun room where other hibuscus thrive. Some summers I've had it outside in the pot.
Does your hibiscus get plenty of sunshine, water and fertilizer? Odd that your others thrive and this one doesn't. Has the soil ever been refreshed in the pot? You say you repotted to a larger size. Hibiscus like to be a little crowded so if you moved it to a much larger pot, that could be the problem. Also, inspect the leaves closely for signs of insects or disease.

They just went thru a hail storm shredded a lot of adult leaves but new ones were growing and seem to be ok. I would like to repot these by lifting them out and loosening some of the soil off the roots and incorporate a little vermiculite and fresh soil within the existing pot. Then put the hibiscus back in the pot and water and fertilize with Miracle Gro. They are not blooming any flowers or flower buds since I put them outside. We have had some funny weather rain cold down in the 50s and now it is getting hot and humid. I don't know what else to do except buy new hibiscus plants..
Yes, you can repot them in the same pot. The fertilizer will probably help with blooming. Be sure to keep them well watered, especially since the weather turned hot.
