    I am so sorry for your loss and understand that one more loss, even a plant, can feel like too much to handle! Hibiscus are tropical plants so they should do OK in hot weather if enough water is supplied. Perhaps you can provide it with some shade during the hottest hours. Can you post a picture?

    There are many different varieties of hibiscus, so my "answer" is more of a guess. Knowing your location and the type.... Were you concerned about removing some to increase the size of the remaining blooms, as some do with peonies? I'm not sure what you question is.
