I am having problems with germination of bean seeds. I usually soak them in warm water for 24 hours and then plant them in the ground. It has been more than a week, but haven't had any germination so far. What could be the problem?
Do not use too hot of water and only soak long enough to soften the outer coat, too long and you run the risk of the seed rotting.
Particularly hard seeds like beans will benefit from scarification before they’re soaked. Scarification means nicking the seed coat (be careful not to puncture it completely) but scratching with a dull knife or buffing the seed with a nail file.

I found a pod hanging from a beautiful climbing plant. Can you use this pod to grow one? How would I go about it?
Generally, if a plant produces seeds, it can be propagated from seeds. I'm not sure what type of plant you are growing, and there may be specifics to how to germinate the seeds.
If you can identify the plant, we can help you with more information.

When are pods ready to take off plants? I know seeds are in them because that is how I started the 3 I have. Do we need to trim when blooming stops for season?
This can vary from plant to plant.
Can you verify the plant and pod your are referencing?
When and how do sow Peppermint Mint seeds? Also, I have been given Safflower seeds. Can you tell me, please, what they are and when and how I sow them, Please?
The best way to propagate mints is by taking cuttings from those that you like best. It’s easy—take 6-inch cuttings of rooted stems and plant them horizontally in the soil. Mint stems will also root in a glass of water. Start with a small cutting from an established plant.
To sow the seeds indoors, place them on top of the medium in your seed flat. Do not cover the seeds; they need light to germinate. They should sprout within 10 to 15 days at room temperature or slightly warmer (68 to 75°F). Transplant into the garden or container when they have at least 2 sets of true leaves.

Sow the safflower seeds 1 to 1 1/2 inches deep in rows 6 to 10 inches apart when the soil temperature is at least 40 degrees Fahrenheit, in April or May. Expect the seedlings to emerge from the soil in one to three weeks.
