If you send me a picture of them, I might be able to identify them. I can say that if you treat the plants and soil with neem oil, this will help to get rid of them. Neem oil basically shuts down the systems of any pest that eats plants that have been treated with neem. Here is more information on neem oil: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/problems/pests/neem-oil-uses.htm

While stem split is common and usually due to extreme temperatures changes and uneven watering, it never hurts to check for signs of pests, especially since they can penetrate the plant through these splits. Assuming you followed the instructions for hand pollination, double check the rest of your culture, especially light. Try putting your plant in a spot that gets more light, and see what happens. I'm pretty sure the cucumber doesn't have enough light. You can start cucumbers indoors, but to actually grow them past seedling stage, they need to be outside, or supplemented with special light. This article has information on growing cucumbers in containers: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/cucumber/cucumbers-in-containers.htm
