I mixed fertilized dirt in with my soil and planted by bulbs in the ground. When I watered them, it looked like I did not mix in enough of the good fertilized soil because there is some water standing for a period of time. I am getting a very late start on planting bulbs. I planted two or three days ago. I am wondering if I should just get more black dirt, mix it in and replant the bulbs. I am hoping to get some flowers by September 3. HELP
Calla Lily need to be planted in loose, well draining soil.
Bulbs and roots sitting in water or soggy soil are likely to cause the bulbs to rot.
I might suggest you planting them in a pot or container, if your soil is not suitable for the bulbs.

Why would orange calla suddenly turn purple? Transferred an orange calla bulb and it came up purple.
There would not be a reason that the bulbs change color. Perhaps it was a pot that contained multiple colored bulbs.
One of the calla lily flowers has developed small green "peas" inside. Are they seeds? Can I replant them?
Yes, the plant has produced seeds.

Attached is a picture of my lily. I don't know how to help it! Any advice is great, please.
Check the soil. The soil should be moist but not soggy.
Overly wet soil can cause the bulbs to rot.
I would cut back the flowers and adjust the water levels.

If I grow the seeds from my plants now, how does it all work? I am in zone 5, so they have to be brought inside. But do they have to have a dormant period or just keep growing until they bloom for the first time? Also, do they come true to the parent plant or can they be totally different?
The plants will have a dormant period, even if they are not blooming.

After my calla lilies bloom, they close up into pod with seeds. Should these be left alone or clipped off?
