I have let my calla lily blooms die a natural death--have not removed the blooms as they faded. The blooms have taken on a waxy look and the color has darkened but they aren't in bad shape even though the blooms are not fresh. I looked at them today and at the base of the flowers, there seems to be a seed pod or something similar developing on all three blooms. Is this normal? Is it setting seeds and, if so, can I harvest the seeds and plant them in the spring?
Yes, your plant has produced seeds.

I keep two Calla lily plants on my deck in Charleston, South Carolina. They receive indirect sunlight and I water them 2x a week. The tip of the leaves are turning yellowish/brown and dying. What can I do to help them?
Yellowing leaves generally indicates a watering issue. Either to much or to little.
Container plants generally need daily water and if temperatures are above 85 degrees, twice daily.
Check the soil moisture and make sure it is damp but not soggy. Check the drainage to make sure that excess water is draining from the pot.

The calla lily (in a pot) bloomed in the spring and over time looked like it was getting another bloom but it never did open. It's head drooped and remained green. Can I remove it and plant it?
A Calla Lily flower will not root.
You can divide a plant to create more plants if the pot is crowded.
If you plant didn't bloom it could be a few different reasons.

After the flower of the Calla Lily dies off, something like pods form. What are they? If planted, will they grow new plants? I purchased a Calla Lily plant and it is slowly dying off. It is still in the pot and I would like to prepare it for winter so I may plant it in my garden come spring. Is there another medium I could use for storing other than peat moss? Should it be stored in an open container, in a closed up box, plastic or what?
You can save the seeds from the seed pods that have formed, or remove them by cutting them back.

I listed several links for you with information on Calla Lily care and wintering over.
You can remove the bulbs from the pots when the leaves have died down and dry and store them according to the directions below.
Use peat moss or even some saw dust to store the bulbs in a box with the top closed off but not to tightly.
They will be ready to move to the garden in the spring or a larger pot.

What are the pods that form when a Calla Lily flower dies off? Is there another medium that can be used to store the root ball over the winter other than peat moss? What is the best way to store them?
The pods are seed heads that have formed.

Sawdust will work also for winter storage of bulbs.

My calla lily bloomed and now there are like bulbs or seeds forming in the flower pocket. What are these? Looks like a seed pod inside the flower that bloomed. It is a well developed plant. I have had it four about five years and bring it indoors over winter.
Yes, your plant is forming seed pods.
You can cut them away and dispose of or save the seeds to propagate.

You give tips on growing calla lilies. But I could find no mention of "how long" it takes to grow calla lilies inside and bloom. Does it take 6 weeks? I have a friend who wants to do this for a wedding.
There is really no way to predict the exact timing of Calla Lily flowering.
The bulbs generally began producing flowers when the plants mature.
Plants can be started in January for blooms to start from May to the end of the summer.
