Do I cut the tendrils from my Boston fern? Not the ones that have leaves on them but the long ones hanging that are leafless. Thank you.
Here is an article that will help you prune your boston fern:

And, yes, you can prune those leafless runners. :)
The tips of the fronds of my fern are turning brown and shriveling. It is indoors in diffused light. I think it is being properly watered. It is near a vent where it gets air conditioning. Could this be the problem?
The location near an air conditioning unit is likely some cause of your issues.
I would move to a location that would meet the ferns needs.

Something is eating the leaves off of my Boston Ferns. Can I spray them with Malithion? My plants are hanging on my back porch and I have noticed that there are droppings on the floor. It looks like cutworm poop. Can this be the problem?
I would use Neem Oi instead.
This is safe for people, pets and bees.
It works as both an insecticide and fungicide.
You can use weekly until the issue is resolved and even preventatively.

I have an inside Boston fern that gets long stringy growth with no fronds. Do I remove them or let them go?
If the fern were outside in nature, those runners would root where they touch the ground, giving the plant another means to spread. You can cut them off.

I have 3 Boston Ferns in a flower pot. I put them out all summer. They are growing beautifully. Now the fall season is coming and I was wondering what I have to do so they don't die on me. Do I bring them in the house and leave them outside?
Yes, bring them indoors prior to the first frost. If you reduce the light and cut back watering, the plants will go dormant. You can put them into dormancy at 50-55 F. Find a cool, dark place (a closet or a basement) and put them there. Storing in the garage will be fine provided it does not get too cold (below 45-50 F). Cut back watering to about once every 3-4 weeks. They will look like they have died but they will come back. In the spring, bring the ferns back out and resume normal care.
Why do the leaves on a Boston Fern turn brown? I bought it weeks ago and now it's turning brown. I was wondering if it was too wet. Or could it just be from transplanting?
It could be stressed from repotting and be overwatered.

My Boston fern is about 5 ft hanging. However, it has started to yellow and brown at the tips. It has gotten thinner. I know it is the wrong time to replant but I do not want to lose it over the winter. My porch is the correct temp. for it and many orchids. The smaller ferns are doing well. Please help. Thank you.
It may be trying to go dormant, or it could be pot bound. You can cut the plant back, or in hte very least, cut back the yellow/brown foliage. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/boston-fern/trimming-boston-ferns.htm
