I have several large/long blackberry vines that stick up above the entire patch. These are first year vines, I believe, so they won't produce berries, but should I be cutting these back? They make it hard to get to the ripened berries, as they are so large and just hang over the entire patch and there are several of them. They almost seem mutant they're so large and fast growing compared to the others.

I live on the Gulf Coast. What do you recomend to kill stink bugs on my blackberries?
I like neem oil for food plant pesticides, though I do not know how effective it will be on stink bugs as they are difficult to kill. Neem oil is safe for people and beneficial bugs but very effective on pests that cause damage. After the plant is treated, it absorbs the neem and any part of the shrub will be poisonous to pests for a few weeks. Here is more information on getting rid of these pests: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/neem-oil-uses.htm

We just planted a bush this summer. The vines are getting straggly. Should I trim it or leave it alone? I worry it will get out of control.

Why doesn't my blackberry bush blossom? It is very healthy and I bought from a reputable nursery. It continues to grow and spread, but still no blossoms, so no fruit.
The amount of nitrogen is too high, which results in more foliage growth and little to no blooming/fruiting. Add a phosphorus rich fertilizer or bone meal to the soil to encourage flowering, and in turn more fruiting, and this should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/soil-fertilizers/phosphorus-plant-growth.htm
What is this disease? Is there an effective treatment? I live in coastal NE North Carolina, just off the Albermarle Sound, zone 8.
There are a few things it could be, some are treatable and some are not. It could be wilt, cane blight or a fungus.
